Cove of the Désert des Agriates coast in northern Corsica, about 8.5 nm west of Saint-Florent.

Approach and anchoring
Mixed sand and rock, the best holding on sand towards the east of the cove. Depth in the centre runs 3 to 6 metres and shoals fast to the sides and head, where rocks stand up to 40 cm, so a shallow draught helps. The cove is small and fills early in August. Wide open to N and NW and untenable in mistral or tramontane; protections run from E through S to SW.
Practical
No services. The nearest ports are Saint-Florent at 8.5 nm east and Port privé Mare e Stagnu at 8.7 nm east.
Ashore
Coastal footpath of the Agriates passes above the cove and links Malfacu to the Plage du Lotu and Plage de Saleccia further east. The Agriates inland is a scrub landscape of maquis managed by the Conservatoire du Littoral with no beach-level road access.
