Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the golfe de Valinco. Drop on sand in 4 to 8 m, avoiding the Posidonia that shows as darker areas; holding is better on the sand to one side of the entrance, and watch for rocks off the south. In season it fills up, and deeper sand and rock at 11 to 12 m holds well away from the crowd. Shelter from the N sector, open to the S and SE swell, shift north if the libeccio sets in.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services. Porto Pollo 5,4 NM to the SE with a small marina and basic stores. Port Tino Rossi in Ajaccio 10,3 NM to the N for full services.
