Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom, good holding that stands up to 30 knots and more; drop on the clear sand between the Posidonia patches. Shelter from S, SW, W and NW, exposed to easterly winds and the swell that rolls in from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The southern part of the bay is a base for jet-skis, water-ski and towed-toy boats that weave between anchored yachts from mid-morning to evening, throwing up steady wash; it quietens once they stop. Nearest harbour Marina di Fiori 2.8 NM SW.
Practical
A small mini-market by the jetty covers basics at high prices. For a proper shop, take the tender to the pontoon off the beach, work under the concrete bridge into the San Ciprianu lagoon to reach the village bakery, butcher, grocer and restaurants. SC Marine on the pontoon helps with breakdowns. A garage about 1 km inland has a self-service laundry, though the dryer is unreliable. Bins are scarce and there are none at the beach.
Ashore
Sandy beach of San Ciprianu ashore, in the commune of Lecci, with beach bars and restaurants open in season. The Cabanon Bleu sits on the sand, and U Stagnu, about 100 m back from the beach, is cheaper. The lagoon can be explored by dinghy up to the village.
