Approach and anchoring
Enter from the south-east between Île San Ciprianu and Punta di Benedettu. Anchor on the clear sand in 3 to 6 metres with good holding and keep the anchor off the rocks and off the protected posidonia. The side of the bay by the small beach is quieter and less crowded than the far side. Shelter is good from most directions and the libeccio is usually gentler here than in anchorages further south, but it is open to E and SE swell. By day jet skis and water-ski boats work through the bay at speed, so keep a watch.
Practical
No services on the bay itself. A grocery, butcher and bakery in the village behind the beach are well stocked, reached by dinghy across the lagoon, with recycling bins about 900 m away at the village entrance. Music plays on the beach at night. Marina di Fiori 2.9 NM west and Porto-Vecchio marina further south for fuel, water and full provisioning.
Ashore
Plage de San Ciprianu runs 1.5 km along the head of the bay. Beach restaurants open from May to September. Île San Ciprianu at the north entrance is accessible by dinghy and sits within the Natura 2000 perimeter of the Corsican east coast.
