Approach and anchoring

Enter from the east, keeping clear of the rocky islets off Punta Capicciola to the south. Hard sand gives good holding in 3 to 6 metres, the bottom shelving gently. Shelter from N, NE, W and NW, open to the E and SE where the libeccio swell can wrap around the headland. By day the bay fills with jet skis, a water-ski boat and towed craft weaving between anchored boats, throwing up wash and making swimming from the boat risky; it settles at night, though a beach bar on the south side can play music late.

Practical

Anchor only, no services on the water. Marina di Fiori is 3.3 NM SW for fuel, water and visitor berths. Ashore there is a tap at the head of the pier, on request to the managers, and a public shower by the car park behind the beach for filling cans. The village has a small supermarket, a bakery and a butcher.

Ashore

Sand beach of San Ciprianu runs for 1 km along the back of the bay, with beach restaurants in season including le Cabanon Bleu, which fetches customers from their boats, and the Tiki bar. Coastal path south towards Punta Capicciola and the lagoon of San Ciprianu, 30 minutes on foot.
