Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south in open water. Sand and rock bottom, anchor in 5 to 10 m on the sand patches, where holding is good, watching for rocky ground. Shelter from N, NE, E and NW, but the bay is open to the SW and rolls even in light airs when a swell runs, so a stern anchor helps steady the boat.
Practical
No services on the mooring. Water, shops and fuel at Cargèse 0.7 nm west. Port de Sagone 3.6 nm east.
Ashore
Plage de Menasina, sand and pebbles, reached from the D81 coast road, has a beach restaurant that plays music on some evenings and a strong floodlight that lights the bay after dark. A dinghy can be landed at Cargèse harbour or on the beach. Cargèse village and its two facing churches are about 25 to 45 minutes on foot west along the coast.
