Approach and anchoring
Anchoring forbidden under park regulations, and the rule is enforced: boats anchored off Cassis are moved on by the local police even outside the yellow buoys. Sand bottom, exposed to the south. Cassis harbour lies 0.2 nm N and Port-Miou 0.8 nm W as authorised moorings.
Practical
Cassis has no dinghy pontoon, and tenders left tied ashore have been impounded and released only on payment, so going ashore for fuel or supplies is awkward. Cassis harbour itself, 0.2 nm N, is often full in season. A quieter anchorage lies round the headland but without the same walk into town.
Ashore
The cove sits inside the Calanques National Park. The Port-Miou calanque, a long narrow inlet with organised moorings, is 0.8 nm west. Cassis village and its shops are 0.2 nm north.
