Approach and anchoring
Open from the south round to the north through the west. The Caritan shore and Caye Caritan lie inside a motor-free zone with an access channel under the Sainte-Anne order of 12 October 2023; anchoring is banned and speed limited to 3 knots in all the buoyed zones, so anchor outside the yellow buoys.

Ashore
The classified site of Les Salines à la Baie des Anglais, protected by a decree of 22 August 2013, begins just south at Pointe Dunkerque; its marked trails lead on towards Anse Meunier and the Salines.
