Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open roadstead, approach straight from the east. Anchor in about 4 m on sand around 250 m off the beach, with plenty of room to spread out and good holding. Sheltered from NW, W and SW winds, fully exposed to the east and any easterly swell; wash from offshore powerboats and shipping keeps it moving until it eases at night. Leave at the first sign of the libeccio swinging to east.
Practical
No services on site. Port Taverna 6 nm N for fuel and basic shops, Solenzara 24 nm S for a full marina.
Ashore
A beach bar operates on the sand behind the anchorage in season.
