Approach and anchoring
Enter Baird Cove from Dana Passage, south of the Nisqually Reach. Marina on the south side of the cove. Sling and ramp launching available.
Practical
Wet and dry storage, fuel berth with diesel and petrol, haul-out by sling, bottom painting and a tackle shop with bait, ice and snacks. Boat hire on site. Run by the Zittel family since 1957.
Ashore
Tolmie State Park 5 km south, 105 acres with shoreline trail and an underwater dive park on a sunken artificial reef. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge 15 km south by road.
