Guide
Approach and anchoring
The Richard E. Seabrook landing sits on Wappoo Creek off State Road 171. The creek forms part of the Intracoastal Waterway between the Ashley River and Charleston Harbour. Currents run hard close to Elliott Cut, where the narrow channel funnels the tide, so launch and recover with care.
Practical
Four ramps with a floating dock for boarding. The trailer parking area takes up to 50 vehicles. The landing is run by Charleston County Parks and Recreation. Riverland Terrace landing lies just around the cut as an alternative.
Ashore
West Ashley sits behind the landing with shops and supplies a short drive away. Downtown Charleston is reached across the Ashley River.
