Approach and anchoring
Reached up the Ashley River from Charleston Harbour. The berths lie in a cove off the main river, which gives shelter from wind and wash. Floating docks with about 300 feet of bulkhead.
Practical
Eighty-three berths, of which five are kept for visitors, taking vessels up to 100 feet. The marina caters mainly to sportfishing boats and runs electronic contracts and automated billing.
Ashore
Downtown Charleston and its historic district are a short drive across the Ashley River.
