Members' club in the Tiverton Basin at the head of the Sakonnet River, Rhode Island, with about 8 moorings and limited dock space.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The basin lies just north of the Stone Bridge buttresses, two jetties that mark the entrance from the south. The current runs hard through the gap, up to 2.8 knots on the ebb, so time the passage near slack water. Approach depths reach 35 feet with about 12 feet alongside.
Practical
Berths and moorings are seasonal and member only, allocated by waiting list. Transient moorings or slips are sometimes offered when members are away, so call ahead on 401-816-0811. Standish Boat Yard lies 0.3 miles south for haul-out and repairs.
