Approach and anchoring
Sits on the Sakonnet River at Tiverton, reached by the river from Narragansett Bay. Approach and dockside depths are reported at about 35 feet and 10 feet. The river runs a strong tidal stream past the docks.
Practical
24 berths including 4 transient, on fixed and floating pontoons, plus 65 moorings. There is a fuel berth, a slipway, and a yard for repairs, winter storage and haul-out.
History
The yard was founded by the Standish family in 1958 and run by the Hilton family from 1969. Its main building served as the home of Tiverton Yacht Club after the 1938 hurricane.
