Approach and anchoring

Sheltered from W through N to E, exposed to the south and to the libeccio swell that enters the gulf from the SW. Approach clear from the main Ajaccio fairway. Keep well off the shoreline rocks to the north when rounding in.

Practical

Mouillage forain only. Port Tino Rossi 1.4 NM W for visitor berths, diesel, water and all provisions in the old town. Dingy Dock landing 1.3 NM W for tender access to the Ajaccio waterfront.

Ashore

Central Ajaccio is reached by tender in under 20 minutes. Maison Bonaparte, birthplace of Napoleon in 1769, stands in the old town rue Saint-Charles. Sanguinaires archipelago sunset viewpoint at Pointe de la Parata is 6 km west of the city.
