Approach and anchoring
Reached via the Canal des Vosges, former Canal de l'Est southern branch, between locks 18 and 19 of the Moselle slope. Gauge Freycinet, 38.5 metres by 5.05 metres. Air draught limited to 3.5 metres. Navigation VNF, operated during canal hours.
Practical
Simple mooring against the stone quay. No dedicated pontoon, no water or electricity on the quay. Village of Vincey within walking distance with a Carrefour Contact, bakery and pharmacy on rue de Lorraine, about 600 metres south of the canal.
Ashore
Footpath along the canal towpath usable for walking or cycling, part of the Voie Bleue Moselle-Saone a velo from Nancy to Lyon. Charmes at 1.5 NM NW has a larger halte with shops. Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes at Portieux, 4 km north, is a neo-Gothic pilgrimage church.
