Approach and anchoring
Lying off the shore of South Bass Island, open to the western quarter. The bottom is weed, so check the anchor is well set before leaving the boat. The Crew's Nest and Miller Marina both lie 1 mile to the north-east.
Practical
The Crew's Nest, a private club with day and overnight dockage, is 1 mile north-east, as is Miller Marina. Put-in-Bay village, with shops, restaurants and provisioning, lies just beyond the marinas around the main harbour.
Ashore
South Bass Island State Park, on the south-west tip of the island, has a campground and shoreline. Put-in-Bay village, about a mile north-east, holds Perry's Victory memorial, a winery and the Lake Erie Islands history sites.
