Approach and anchoring
Enter Salmon Bay from Shilshole Bay through the Ballard Locks. The marina sits on the north shore of the Lake Washington Ship Canal at 5265 Shilshole Avenue NW, a few hundred metres east of the locks. No tidal restriction once through the locks: the canal stays at lake level.
Practical
About 200 covered berths from 25 to 50 feet plus over 2,000 linear feet of open moorage. Customer parking, showers, heads, laundry and on-site security. Certified Envirostar Clean Marina.
Ashore
Ballard shops and restaurants one block north on NW Market Street. Ballard Farmers Market on Sundays at NW Market and Ballard Avenue, 600 m walk. Hiram M. Chittenden Locks fish ladder and gardens 700 m west.
