Guide

Approach and anchoring

From Puget Sound, enter through the Chittenden Locks at Ballard, then about 1 NM up Salmon Bay. The marina sits on the south side of the canal, walking distance from the Ballard Bridge. Fresh water above the locks, no tidal range.

Practical

60 covered berths plus more than 25 uncovered berths. Shore power 30 A and 50 A, fresh water at each berth, twin heads with showers, free parking and gated dock access. About 10 percent of berths can be used as liveaboards. Phone 206-285-0477.

Ashore

Ballard is a 10-minute walk north, with shops, breweries and restaurants along NW Market Street. Downtown Fremont is a 5-minute drive east. The Chittenden Locks and fish ladder are about 1 NM west by water.
