Approach and anchoring

Approach through the main San Diego Bay channel from the entrance off Point Loma, leaving Shelter Island to the south and the airport to the north. Harbor Island is the second island inside the bay. The marina lies on the south side of the island, well inside the harbour, sheltered from any swell. Speed limit 5 knots in the inner harbour.

Practical

Transient berths with shore power, fresh water, in-slip pump-out, showers, laundry and 24-hour security. Hotel restaurants and pool on site. Fuel berth at Pearson's Fuel Dock on Shelter Island, 0.4 NM west. Provisioning at supermarkets on Rosecrans Street, 1.5 km from the marina.

Ashore

Spanish Landing Park runs along the north side of Harbor Island, with a paved path linking it to Liberty Station, the former Naval Training Center now home to shops and the Public Market, at 2 km. Downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp Quarter are 4 km east by taxi or rideshare. USS Midway Museum on the Embarcadero at 3.5 km.
