Approach and anchoring

Reached from Lake Ontario through the Sandy Pond inlet, a narrow channel kept open by periodic dredging. Best taken in settled weather, the bar can break in onshore winds.

Practical

64 berths and 45 campsites. Pump-out, toilets and showers on site. Launch fee 12 USD, daily berth 35 USD, weekly 150 USD, seasonal 32 USD per foot from 1 May to 30 September. Open 8am to 6pm, phone 315-686-8177.

Ashore

Sandy Pond Beach Natural Area, a barrier dune and wetland system between the pond and Lake Ontario, is reached by boat across the pond. Sandy Creek village shops are about 8 km inland.
