Approach and anchoring
Upriver from the Amtrak swing bridge, which opens on signal day and night, and the Route 1 bascule bridge, which opens at 40 minutes past the hour from 7.40am to 6.40pm between 1 May and 31 October. VHF channel 9.
Practical
Around 242 berths for boats up to 80 feet, with transient berths. Fuel berth supplies diesel and petrol. Shore power at 30, 50 and 100 amp, fresh water, pump-out, heads and showers. Pool, hot tub, laundry, chandlery and an on-site restaurant.
Ashore
Downtown Mystic is a short walk away, with shops and restaurants around the bascule bridge on Main Street. Mystic Seaport Museum, a maritime museum with historic ships and a working preservation shipyard, lies just upriver on the east bank.
