Full-service marina at Cape Vincent, New York, where the St. Lawrence River leaves Lake Ontario.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the St. Lawrence River on the Cape Vincent shore at 583 East Broadway. Approach depth is about 3.7 metres and dockside depth about 3 metres. The marina opens April to November.
Practical
There are 100 fixed-dock berths taking vessels up to 60 feet, around 15 of them kept for overnight visitors. The fuel berth has petrol and diesel. On site: a pump-out, shore power, a lift, a marine store, restrooms and showers, plus boat and engine repair and winter storage.
Ashore
Cape Vincent village lies along the waterfront. Tibbetts Point Lighthouse, built in 1827 and rebuilt in 1854, stands about 3 miles west at the river mouth and keeps the only original working Fresnel lens on Lake Ontario.
