Approach and anchoring
Approach from Lake Ontario into the Genesee River entrance, marked by piers. Club basin is on the east bank just inside the river mouth. VHF 16. Max draught 3 m at the berths.
Practical
164 berths with reciprocal access for visiting club members. Clubhouse, dining room, bar, pool and junior sailing programme.
History
Founded in 1877 and a member of the Lake Yacht Racing Association from 1887. The club holds the Freeman Cup, first contested in 1896 between Royal Canadian Yacht Club and Rochester for Great Lakes supremacy.
