Full-service marina on the west bank of the Genesee River in Rochester, New York, south of the O'Rourke Bridge.

Guide

Approach and anchoring

Enter the Genesee River from Lake Ontario between the west and east piers at Charlotte. Hold the marked channel south past the Stutson Street bridge, then continue under the O'Rourke Bridge. The marina lies on the starboard hand at Petten Street.

Practical

Around 200 berths along 4,000 ft of river frontage, with potable water and shore power on every berth. Fuel berth, heads and showers on site, plus a boatyard with lift and repair shop. Office at 118 Petten St, Rochester NY 14612.

History

The yard was founded in 1947 as Riverview Yacht Basin, then bought by Gibbs together with Genesee Marina Inc. The group now runs three sites in the Rochester area.
