Approach and anchoring
Enter the Au Sable River from Lake Huron at the Oscoda channel, then follow the river west past Main Pier Marina. Riverview is on the south bank at 406 S State Street. River-only access, no tidal lock. Season runs 15 May to 15 October.
Practical
Seasonal berths at 500 USD for boats under 25 ft and 550 USD above. Transient rates 15 USD per day under 25 ft, then 1 USD per foot per day. Heads, showers and a fish cleaning station ashore. No fuel berth on site, fuel available at Main Pier Marina nearby.
Ashore
Oscoda town centre and US-23 within 300 m for shops and restaurants. Au Sable River Queen tour boat dock at 1 km upstream. Lake Huron beach at the river mouth at about 1 km east on foot.
