Approach and anchoring

Entered from Broad Creek, a natural deep-water creek off the ICW and the Neuse River. The protected entrance channel opens into a 28-acre inland basin. Call ahead on VHF channel 72.

Practical

Over 400 floating berths for power and sailing yachts, with a 500-foot fuel berth and a petrol station on site. Laundry, private steam showers, a pool and the Yawl's Cafe and Harbor Club for meals.

Ashore

The village of Oriental, known for its sailing community and shops, lies about 6 km to the south by road. Broad Creek and the Neuse River shoreline give quiet day-sailing close to the basin.
