Approach and anchoring
The Rhode River opens off Chesapeake Bay south of the West River. The marina basin is well sheltered and is rated locally as one of the bay's better hurricane holes. The fuel berth takes vessels up to 100 feet.
Practical
Dockage covers 20 wet berths, 80 lift slips and 125 dry racks for boats from 16 to 55 feet, with lit finger piers and dock boxes. There is a fuel berth with petrol and diesel, a pump-out, a temperature-controlled bathhouse, laundry, WiFi and picnic areas with grills. A full-service yard with factory-trained technicians and a parts store handles repairs.
