- Harbour
Private cruising club and 72-berth marina in Selby Bay, off the South River about 10 miles south of Annapolis, Maryland.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter the South River from the Chesapeake and head for flashing red 6, then steer for flashing red 2 south of Long Point into Selby Bay. The marked entrance channel carries between 8 and 11 ft. NOAA Chart 12270 covers the area.
Practical
72 berths for both power and sailing boats, with a swimming pool ashore. A members' club rather than a commercial transient marina, so visitor space depends on prior arrangement.
History
The club was founded in 1947 by Maurice Ogle, a descendant of colonial Maryland governor Samuel Ogle.
