Guide

Approach and anchoring

The marina sits beside the channel just inside the Beaufort Inlet, the closest dockage to the inlet. Approach from the Morehead City channel and round Radio Island; expect inlet currents of 2.5 knots or more and watch for shoaling.

Practical

Eight wet berths with a fuel berth selling petrol on site, plus around 200 dry-stack spaces. Boat sales, a Yamaha outboard service department, repairs and a ship store. Harbour master on 252 726-3773.

Ashore

Radio Island has a public beach within walking distance. By water, the marina gives direct access to Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks and the Beaufort and Morehead City waterfronts.
