Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom with shelter on most sides from the curve of the peninsula. Beach 11, also called Kohler Beach, is the most sheltered swimming beach on Presque Isle, with shallow water. Fresh water is available ashore.
Practical
Captain John E. Lampe Marina lies 0.6 miles south and Wolverine Park Marina 1.5 miles south-west for berths and supplies. A beach house ashore has restrooms, changing rooms and a food concession in season.
Ashore
Presque Isle State Park covers 3,112 acres of beaches, lagoons and woodland, with a paved multi-use trail running the length of the peninsula for walking and cycling. Beach 11 has a playground and picnic areas behind the shore.
