Approach and anchoring
Area subject to strong tidal streams of the Fromveur and Chenal du Four. Anchoring is restricted by parc marin regulations to protect eelgrass beds and seal colonies. Check the current Préfecture Maritime arrêté before any manoeuvre.
Practical
No infrastructure. Nearest refuge is L'Aber-Ildut 11,7 nm E on the mainland, with visitor pontoons, water and fuel. Île de Molène village 2 nm away has a small harbour that dries at low water.
Ashore
The Molène archipelago is part of the UNESCO Iroise biosphere reserve since 1988. Grey seals and bottlenose dolphins are regularly observed in the channels between the islands.
