Guide
Approach and anchoring
Straightforward approach from the east. Entrance between two jetties marked by red and green sector lights. Maximum draught 3.4 m at the outer pontoons. Keep clear of the ferry lane south of the breakwater when ferries manoeuvre. VHF 9 for the harbour office.
Practical
363 berths, visitor capacity on pontoon D. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol at the entrance. Water and electricity on all berths. Showers, laundry, chandlery and crane on site. Restaurants and bars along the marina. Bastia city centre and the Vieux Port are 1.5 km south on foot.
Ashore
The Cap Corse peninsula road starts immediately north of the port and follows the east coast for 40 km to Macinaggio. The church of San Martino di Lota perches on the hill above Pietranera, 3 km north of the marina.
History
The marina was opened in 1994 to relieve pressure on the older Vieux Port further south. It occupies land reclaimed at the former tobacco factory site, which gave the district its name.
