Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east with no offshore dangers. Sand holding throughout. Shelter from NW, N, W and SW; fully exposed to the eastern sector where swell builds quickly when the Libeccio turns or the Levante sets in. Keep clear of the marked swimming zone close to the beach in season.
Practical
No services on site. Bastia Vieux Port 0.6 NM north for fuel, water and provisioning; Port Toga 1.4 NM north for a larger marina with more visitor berths.
Ashore
Shingle and sand beach with seasonal bars. Walk 15 minutes north along the shore to reach the Terra Vecchia district of Bastia and the Place Saint-Nicolas, a 300 m long tree lined square with cafes and a Sunday flea market.
