Approach and anchoring
Open roadstead with sand bottom. Sheltered from west through northwest winds by the Cap Corse ridge, exposed to easterlies and the libeccio swell wrapping round the cape. Approach straightforward from the south along the coast.
Practical
No facilities. Closest refuge at Port d'Erbalunga 1.1 nautical miles to the northeast, or Port Toga in Bastia 3 nautical miles to the south for fuel, water and provisioning.
Ashore
Erbalunga village at 1.1 nautical miles, with its Genoese tower and a small cluster of restaurants and cafés around the old harbour. The GR sentier des douaniers coastal path runs along the shore northwards towards Sisco.
