Approach and anchoring
Coming from the sea, enter through the Saint-Louis lock, the gateway between the Gulf of Fos and the Rhône. Lock operated by Voies Navigables de France, VHF 20. From upstream, descend the Grand Rhône on VHF 73 with the CNR. Commercial shipping has priority throughout the channel.
Practical
Quay berthing with bollards at the town edge. Fuel station within 200 m of the quay. Water tap available. Intermarché supermarket at 1 km, full range of shops and restaurants in the town centre at 500 m. Post office and bank within walking distance.
Ashore
Camargue regional nature park begins 3 km west, with the Tour Saint-Louis observation tower marking its eastern gateway. Plage Napoleon, a 7 km sand beach, lies 12 km south by road. Bird watching hides along the Canal Saint-Louis for flamingos and herons.
