Approach and anchoring
From Yaquina Bay entrance at Newport, follow the federal channel upriver. Project depth drops to 10 ft above Yaquina and the river is subject to silting, so check controlling depths. The port sits on a bend of the Yaquina River surrounded by wooded hills.
Practical
Transient and year-round moorage, fuel berth, pump-out and a full-service repair shop with travel lift. Commercial moorage, industrial space, and a non-motorised paddle park for kayaks and canoes.
History
Port authority founded in 1910 under Oregon's port law. Hosts the annual Toledo Wooden Boat Show on the third weekend of August.
