Small canal port on the Canal de Roanne à Digoin in Briennon, about 12 km north of Roanne.

Approach and anchoring
Reached by the canal from either Roanne to the south or Digoin to the north. Basin dug alongside the canal, approach over a short cut. No tidal constraint, standard VNF waterway rules apply.
Practical
Pontoons with water and electricity, sanitary block with showers. Fuel and chandlery not on site, nearest provision is Roanne. Bakery and small grocery in the village at about 400 m from the basin.
Ashore
Towpath suitable for walking or cycling along the canal in both directions. Pleasure boat the Infatigable, a restored former commercial barge, is moored as a museum by the port. Riverside of the Loire at 1 km west of the village.
History
Briennon was a loading point for commercial barges carrying coal and building stone on the canal until the mid 20th century. The village kept its alignment of former bargee houses along the towpath.
