Approach and anchoring
Approach from the bay of Pont-Mahé, then follow the marked channel south of the Pointe de Merquel into the Étier de Kercabellec. The port dries at low water on mud and sand, approach within two hours of high water. Sheltered from all directions once inside the étier. Piriac-sur-Mer lies 3.7 NM SW, Port de Lérat 4 NM SW.
Practical
Mooring on posts and on the drying quay, suited to bilge keels and lifting keels. Basic facilities, water tap on the quay. Village of Mesquer 1.5 km with bakery, grocery and restaurants. Salt-pan producers sell fleur de sel directly on the marshes.
Ashore
GR34 coastal path along the Traict de Mesquer and towards Pointe de Merquel with its beacon. Salt marshes of the Mès, still worked by paludiers. Beaches of Sorlock and Lanséria within 2 km.
