Approach and anchoring
Sheltered from W to S winds but fully exposed to the tidal stream of the Golfe, which runs up to 4 knots on spring ebbs. Approach between the cardinal marks of the Truie and the Île aux Moines channel. Plan arrival around slack water. VHF 9 for the Izenah ferry.
Practical
Water and electricity on the Port Blanc pontoon when berths are free. Shops, bakery and restaurants in Baden, around 400 m from the slip. Port-Blanc harbour lies 0.4 NM SE and Arradon 1.4 NM NE.
Ashore
Izenah passenger ferry to the Île aux Moines from the slip, crossing of about 5 minutes. Coastal path GR 34 around the Pointe du Blair from the harbour. Village of Baden and the Saint-Pierre church 400 m inland.
History
The Golfe du Morbihan holds one of Europe's largest concentrations of Neolithic monuments, including the Cairn de Gavrinis, 3 NM to the south, dated around 3500 BC.
