Approach and anchoring
Open on the W and NW, fully exposed to the Atlantic swell that builds on the Pointe de la Torche, one of the most consistent surf spots in France. Anchorage usable only in a settled easterly regime. Port of Saint-Guénolé-Penmarc'h 1,2 NM to the SW for shelter in case of weather change.
Practical
No service at anchor. Village shops at Saint-Guénolé and Penmarc'h, fuel berth at the port of Saint-Guénolé.
Ashore
Pointe de la Torche accessible on foot, prehistoric dolmen on the headland. GR 34 coastal path along the entire Baie d'Audierne to the N, dune system of 10 km of uninterrupted beach. Phare d'Eckmühl at Penmarc'h, 65 m high, opened to the public in season, 3 km to the SW.
