Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south through the Chenal du Ferlas, keeping clear of the drying rocks that surround Bréhat. Sand bottom. Shelter from N and NW winds from the island. Exposed to S and SE. Strong tidal streams in the Chenal du Ferlas, time the approach near slack water.
Practical
Port de Bréhat lies 0.9 nm to the north for the main anchorage and ferry quay. Port Adhoc in Paimpol sits 3.5 nm SW on the mainland with a marina, water, diesel and full services.
Ashore
Guerzido beach is one of the few sand beaches on Bréhat and sits directly ashore. Footpath around the south of the island to the Chapelle Saint-Michel viewpoint, 1.5 km away. Bourg de Bréhat 1.2 km on foot with bakery, grocers and bar. No cars on the island.
