Approach and anchoring
Approach at mid-tide with the Brehat chart to hand. The archipelago is strewn with drying rocks and the tidal range exceeds 10 m on springs, so lay out chain generously. Protection from W through N to NE. Exposed to easterly and southerly winds.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. The harbour of Brehat at La Corderie or Port-Clos lies 0.8 nm NW for water and shops on the island. Port Adhoc is 3.9 nm SW on the mainland for fuel and full chandlery.
Ashore
Landing by tender on Brehat connects to the island coastal path. The Paon lighthouse on the north tip and the Birlot tide mill make the classic walks. No cars on Brehat, a single bakery, a grocery and a few cafes around Le Bourg.
