Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open-roadstead approach from the north, free of dangers in clear weather. Holding on sand. Shelter from W through S to SE winds; fully exposed to the N and NE, where swell rolls straight in. Large tidal range typical of the Côte d'Émeraude, check heights before settling close inshore.
Practical
No services on the anchorage. For water, fuel or a secure berth in bad weather, head 0.9 NM SW to Port du Piégu or 2 NM SW to the tidal basin of Port de Dahouët. Landing by tender on the beach in calm conditions.
Ashore
The GR 34 coastal path runs along the cliffs above the beach, linking Pléneuf-Val-André to Dahouët in under an hour on foot. Shops and restaurants at Le Val-André seafront, roughly 1 km to the SW along the promenade.
