Approach and anchoring
Anchoring is prohibited in this bathing and seagrass sector. Use the authorised zones further offshore on sand, or head for the marinas of Quiberon. The bay gives shelter from W, NW, SW and S winds behind the peninsula, but is wide open to the east. Port-Haliguen lies 1.8 NM to the SE, Port Maria 2.3 NM to the S as refuges.
Practical
No services at sea. Beach ashore with seasonal surveillance in July and August. Shops and restaurants in the village of Saint-Pierre-Quiberon within walking distance of the beach.
Ashore
The sentier des douaniers GR34 runs along the cliffs of the Côte Sauvage on the west side of the peninsula, reachable in about 15 minutes on foot from the beach. Pointe du Percho and its natural rock arches lie around 2 km to the north.
