Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Intracoastal Waterway, which carries deep water in this stretch. The cove sits roughly 1.2 nm south of Dania Beach Marina. Mind passing traffic in the main channel and the strong tidal stream around Port Everglades. Holding is mixed over rock, weed and mud, so check the anchor is well set before leaving the deck.
Practical
Fresh water is available nearby. No fuel or pontoon at the anchorage itself. For full facilities and provisioning, Dania Beach Marina lies 1.2 nm north and Hollywood Marina 1.3 nm south, both reached along the Intracoastal.
Ashore
Dania Beach town centre and the Atlantic shore are within a short dinghy run. The Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park, with Whiskey Creek and an ocean beach, is close by to the north.
