Brick Cove Marina is 0.9 nautical miles south-west and Shelter Island Yacht Club 1 nautical mile east. Greenport village, with shops, restaurants and the Shelter Island ferry, is within walking distance of the waterfront.
Ashore
Greenport village lies about 1 nautical mile from the anchorage, with shops and restaurants near the harbour front. The North Ferry to Shelter Island runs from the village. Pipes Cove holds working oyster grounds, neighbours of the Widow's Hole beds.
