Approach and anchoring
Pikes Bay is one of the best-sheltered harbours in the Apostle Islands. A black granite breakwater keeps wave action inside the basin to a minimum.
Practical
About 208 berths on floating pontoons, from 30 to 60 feet, with side ties up to 90 feet. Wide piers and fairways. Fuel berth, ship store, marine service centre with a 35-ton travel lift, indoor heated and outdoor storage, and a clubhouse.
Ashore
Downtown Bayfield lies a short drive north, with shops, restaurants and the ferry to Madeline Island.
