Approach and anchoring

Lying close to Port Everglades, the marina has zero bridge restrictions between its berths and the inlet, giving large vessels an unobstructed run to sea. There is 30 feet of water right up to the pontoons. F3 Marina lies 0.7 miles to the west. High-speed fuelling is available on site. VHF 16.

Practical

5,000 linear feet of dockage across 164 berths, taking yachts up to 400 feet, with 480-volt three-phase shore power for the largest units. Diesel and petrol at the fuel berth, laundry, crew showers and 24-hour security. On-site restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness centre and two tennis courts.

History

Phillips Petroleum broke ground on a fuel dock and marina here in 1956, naming the site after its Phillips 66 brand. The 17-storey hexagonal tower opened in 1965 in the space-age Googie style, crowned by the revolving Pier Top lounge, and became one of Fort Lauderdale's most recognisable buildings.
