Guide
Approach and anchoring
Anchor on the sand bottom near the park, sheltered from N through S. Currents run strongly under the Blue Heron Bridge with the tide, so set the anchor with care and allow swinging room.
Practical
Fresh water is available at the park. Safe Harbor New Port Cove lies 0.5 nm to the SW and Sailfish Marina 0.6 nm to the S for fuel and provisioning.
Ashore
The park holds an 800 ft artificial reef and snorkel trail opened in 2012, built from Anastasia rock in 6 to 10 ft of water and home to seahorses, pipefish and rays. A small beach and picnic area sit alongside.
